We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Manager - Mortgage Proposition to join the Society! In this leadership team role, you will join our Mortgage Product team supporting the Society’s goal to help our customers own their own home; you will play a key role in the on-going development of our evolving Mortgage Proposition to support the delivery of our new strategic blueprint. You will be responsible for the full end-to-end product lifecycle, with clear accountability for shaping, delivering and continuously evolving the Mortgage Proposition. You will ensure products are designed, implemented and evaluated in line with business objectives, delivering strong customer outcomes across every aspect of proposition design and delivery. We are looking for a curious, collaborative and customer-obsessed leader to drive the evolution of our mortgage ecosystem, using insight, innovation and data to strengthen our proposition and respond to changing customer needs. Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the Society’s new business and existing customer mortgage product ranges, across Residential and Specialist markets.
- Harness a data-driven approach to design and develop new mortgage products and propositions, meeting the needs of our priority customer group.
- Support the Head of Mortgage Product & Proposition across the Mortgage Transformation Programme.
- Enhance and embed the mortgage product risk framework.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Mortgage SMEs, striking the right blend of support and challenge, and empowering colleagues to reach their full potential.
- Champion the Customer/Intermediary and drive for good customer outcomes in all aspects of mortgage product manufacture, implementation, measurement and change.
- Take an ‘outside-in’ approach to innovative practices, using external market and alternative industry insight and approaches to evolve ways of working and future product design.
- Foster collaboration across the Society and actively influence and help shape senior leadership thinking, proposing recommendations in support of strategy execution and ways of working.
Qualifications:
- Experience designing or developing Financial Services products and propositions, adopting a data-driven, customer-centric approach to meeting customer needs.
- Management of mortgage product ranges across Residential and Specialist markets, either inside or outside of UK.
- Highly developed understanding of the UK Mortgage market, including industry hot topics, market trends, competitor landscape and key customer challenges/opportunities.
- Sound analytics skills with an ability to use complex information to build compelling business recommendations.
- Experience contributing to mortgage or broader organisation-wide strategies.
- Strong track record in managing and leading people, resulting in quality business delivery outcomes and tangible personal growth and development of colleagues.
- Ability to build credible relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across different disciplines.
