We're seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Company Secretariat Associate to join our Governance team. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, supporting the Society Secretary function and helping to ensure the smooth running of Board and Executive governance processes. Here's a taste of what you will be doing as a Company Secretariat Associate at Nottingham Building Society:

  • Committee & Meeting Support: Prepare, coordinate and distribute agendas, papers, minutes and supporting documentation for Executive and governance committees, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Corporate Governance Administration: Support the delivery of an effective governance framework by maintaining governance processes, policies, procedures and delegated authorities.
  • Statutory Records & Regulatory Compliance: Maintain statutory registers and governance records while supporting submissions to regulatory bodies and ensuring compliance obligations are met.
  • Action Tracking & Follow-Up: Monitor actions arising from committee meetings, liaise with stakeholders and provide updates to ensure timely completion.
  • AGM Planning & Coordination: Assist with the preparation and delivery of the Annual General Meeting, including documentation, logistics and member communications.
  • Governance Research & Continuous Improvement: Research governance best practice, identify opportunities for enhancement and support governance-related projects and initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build strong working relationships with colleagues, senior leaders, external advisers, auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Insurance, Risk & Operational Support: Assist with corporate insurance administration, risk reporting, compliance activities and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.

About You:

  • Educated & Ambitious: A degree in Law, Business, Governance or a related discipline is desirable. This role would particularly suit a recent law graduate seeking a governance-focused career path.
