The Learning & Development Partner plays a key role within this ambition. This is a hands‑on role for an experienced learning practitioner who enjoys working closely with the business, delivering engaging learning and making a real impact on colleague capability and performance. The role blends learning partnership and consultation with hands‑on delivery. Around half of your time will focus on working with the business to identify capability, skills and behavioural gaps, and the remainder will be spent delivering engaging skills, behavioural and compliance learning that helps colleagues perform confidently and consistently. You will play an important part in ensuring colleagues receive the right learning, at the right time, to meet service standards, regulatory expectations and NHG's competence and conduct requirements.
How you'll make a difference
- Work closely with leaders and people partners to identify skills, behavioural and capability gaps
- Turn insight into targeted learning activity that supports performance and resident‑focused outcomes
- Deliver high‑quality skills, behavioural and compliance learning that builds confidence and consistency
- Support NHG's statutory, mandatory and compliance learning requirements
- Help embed learning into day‑to‑day practice to drive real, sustained impact

How you'll do it
- Partner with HRBPs, Talent & Performance Partners and leaders to understand capability needs
- Translate business challenges into clear learning requirements for the Design & Systems team
- Deliver engaging, inclusive and practical learning sessions across skills, behaviour and compliance themes
- Adapt your delivery style for different audiences while maintaining consistent standards
- Use feedback and insight to continuously improve the quality and impact of learning
- Support compliance, audit readiness and consistent learning records
- Act as an understudy for corporate induction when required to ensure a high‑quality new starter experience
You’ll work closely with colleagues across People Development to plan delivery, manage demand and ensure learning activity remains high‑quality, sustainable and aligned to organisational priorities.
Qualifications and experience
- Experience delivering learning or capability‑building activity, ideally within a complex organisation
- A strong understanding of skills, behavioural and compliance learning, including statutory and mandatory requirements
- Experience working in partnership with leaders and HR teams to identify learning needs
- Confident, engaging facilitation and delivery skills
- Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- An organised, proactive approach with the ability to balance partnering and delivery activity
- Commitment to inclusive practice, positive colleague experience and NHG's values
- CIPD or equivalent experience is desirable but not essential (or willingness to work towards one)
