Want to work for one of London's leading Developers? Created in 2018 from two well-established housing associations, Notting Hill Genesis is now one of the largest housing associations in London and the southeast. We own and manage more than 66,000 homes and employ around 2,000 staff. We provide homes across a range of tenures and are committed to continuing to deliver housing that is affordable to all.
We're looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team championing and building quality throughout all stages of development whilst utilising feedback to inform NHG briefing documents to minimise future defects. You'll be personally committed to leading the Defects Team to provide a robust defects resolution service solving defects. This is a challenging and rewarding role but also a great strategic opportunity to continue our evolution and improvement of defect management, provide a better experience for customers while improving the design of our new builds.
NHG established a dedicated team to manage defects in 2019. A lot of hard work has been done to establish ways of working and improve our data quality on defects as well as resolving defects effectively so there is a great foundation in place on which to continue our success. You will work across the whole organisation and will collaborate with front line teams as well as technical experts in other directorates to ensure NHG is responding to defects in a robust way with a clear focus on effective resolution.
As the Head of a dedicated defects resource, you will not only be responsible for continually improving the way we manage defects, but also for providing an accurate picture to senior leadership on the quantity and progress of defects in resolution, so that there is transparency and awareness around these issues across the organisation. You'll also be a spokesperson and ambassador for NHG in face-to-face communications with stakeholders. This includes representing NHG in discussions with resident associations and councillors where defects have a considerable impact on the living conditions of our residents.
Alongside this you'll work with Development colleagues to hold our contractors and consultants to account, while maintaining awareness of the sensitivities of existing relationships. As a confident communicator, you'll enjoy working with and motivating people. You'll be a creative and ambitious self-starter who has the passion to make a real difference in an area that could dramatically improve customer experience of new builds. Your analytical mind will allow you to understand trends in data and make changes to processes as a result, and your strong negotiation skills will allow you to influence decisions at a senior level both within and outside the organisation.
In return we offer generous annual leave, health cash plan, season ticket loan, life assurance and a generous contributory pension offer as well as other benefits packages. If this sounds like the challenge you're looking for, then we'd love to hear from you.
