What you’ll do

Are you an experienced treasury professional looking for an opportunity toleada busy operational treasury function within a large and complex organisation?

We’re looking for a Treasury Operations Manager totake responsibility for the smooth and effective running of our operational treasury function and play a key role in protecting the financial strength and resilience of Notting Hill Genesis.

As a senior member of the Finance team, you’ll oversee our day-to-day treasury activity across cash and liquidity, borrowings, banking, reporting, accounting and treasury systems.

You’ll ensure we have the cash available to meet our commitments, our borrowing obligations are managed effectively and our treasury information remains accurate, timely and well controlled.

You’ll alsoleadand develop two Treasury Accountants, creating a high-performing and customer-focused team that provides an excellent service to colleagues and external stakeholders.

Working closely with the Head of Treasury, senior Finance colleagues, banks, lenders and other partners, this is an opportunity to combine technical treasury expertise with people leadership, strategic thinking and continuous improvement in an organisation where effective financial management directly supports our ability to deliver for residents.

  • Leadership & people management
  • Leadthe day-to-day operation of the Treasury function, ensuring a high-quality andresponsiveservice is provided to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage, develop, appraise and performance manage two Treasury Accountants, creating an environment where people aresupportedand motivated to perform at their best.
  • Work closely with the Head of Treasury to implement the annual treasury plan.
  • Ensure treasury activity operates in accordance with NHG’s Treasury Management Policies and established financial controls.
  • Championa culture of customer focus, accountability and continuous improvement across the Treasury team and wider Finance function.
  • Borrowings
  • Ensure all contractual requirements within the Group’s loan agreements are met.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely payment of capital and interest.
  • Monitor compliance with loan covenants and ensure potential issues are identified and escalated appropriately.
  • Supportthe effective management of borrowing arrangements and wider treasury risks.
  • Banking
  • Act as theleadcontact for day-to-day banking requirements.
  • Ensure banking platforms, bank mandates and access arrangements are appropriately maintained and controlled.
  • Coordinate KYC requirements and maintain effective relationships with banking partners.
  • Ensure banking arrangements continue to meet the operational needs of the organisation.
  • Cash & liquidity
  • Leadthe preparation and management of cash-flow forecasts across the Group.
  • Prudently manage cash to ensure sufficient liquidity is available to meet daily operational requirements.
  • Oversee the investment of surplus cash with approved counterparties in accordance with Treasury Management Policy.
  • Provide clear insight into current and future liquidity requirements tosupporteffective financialdecision-making.
  • Reporting
  • Leadtreasury reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare accurate and insightful month end treasury reporting.
  • Coordinate quarterly treasury reports for Board.
  • Leadthe preparation of treasury information for quarterly regulatory returns.
  • Provide treasury inputs into forecasts, budgets and long-term business plans.
  • Ensure senior stakeholders receive accurate and timely information about the Group’s treasury position, risks and performance.
  • Accounting
  • Ensure all treasury transactions are accounted for in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Ensure treasury-related codes within SUN, or any successor ERP system, are accurately reconciled.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with wider Finance teams tosupportaccurate financial reporting.
  • Treasury Management System
  • Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of information held within the Treasury Management System.
  • Ensure the system accurately reflects the Group’s treasury position at all times.
  • Maintain effective controls around data inputs and treasury information.
  • Supportimprovements to treasury systems, reporting and processes to increase efficiency and strengthen management information.
  • Continuous improvement
  • Regularly review treasury procedures and documentation to ensure they remain accurate, effective and aligned with best practice.
  • Identify opportunities to improve controls, reporting, systems and ways of working.
  • Help create a progressive treasury environment that combines strong financial governance with excellent customer service.

Essential

  • A CCAB-recognised accounting qualification , supportedby ongoing CPD, togetherwith a treasury qualification .
  • Strong technical expertise in treasury management, operations and financial risk assessment.
  • Experience of managing cash, liquidity, borrowing arrangements and treasury-related financial controls.
  • Strongunderstandingof loan agreements, capital and interest obligations and covenant compliance.
  • Experience of preparing treasury forecasts, budgets and management information.
  • Experience of treasury reporting for senior stakeholders, ideally including Board or regulatory reporting.
  • Strongunderstandingof treasury accounting and applicable accounting standards.
  • Experience of working with Treasury Management Systems and maintaining high-quality treasury data.
  • Experience of banking platforms, mandates and KYC requirements.
  • Proven people-management experience, including developing, appraising, motivating and performance managing staff.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information, evaluate alternative solutions and reach well-informed conclusions.
  • Excellentinterpersonaland communication skills, with the confidence to work effectively with senior stakeholders, colleagues and external partners.
  • A strongcommitmentto professional ethics, including integrity, objectivity, professionalcompetence, confidentialityand professional behaviour.
  • The ability to balance operational delivery with longer-term improvements and strategic priorities.
