What the role is all about
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will work closely with senior leaders to shape the people agenda for a significant portfolio, ensuring people strategy, culture and capability support excellent services and outcomes for our residents.
How you’ll make a difference
- Influencing senior decision‑making through credible, evidence‑based people advice.
- Creating and delivering People Plans that improve performance, capability and culture.
- Anticipating workforce and employee relations risks and shaping proactive solutions.
- Enabling and embedding change and transformation programmes.
- Strengthening leadership capability through coaching and challenge.
Your impact will be seen through stronger leadership, clearer structures and improved workforce outcomes.
How you’ll do it
- Own and deliver the People Plan for your portfolio, aligned to the People Strategy and organisational priorities.
- Partner senior leaders on organisational effectiveness, leadership, culture and workforce decisions.
- Act as the strategic link between the business and HR Centres of Expertise.
- Lead, coach and develop HR Business Partners, setting clear expectations and standards.
- Lead workforce planning, talent and succession activity.
- Lead organisational design and change programmes.
- Manage complex ER and workforce risks as a senior escalation point.
- Ensure HR governance, standards and frameworks are applied consistently.
- Champion equality, diversity and inclusion.
The ideal candidate

- Significant senior‑level HR partnering experience in a complex environment.
- Strong experience of organisational design, workforce planning and change.
- Credible influencing and coaching skills at senior leadership level.
- Excellent judgement, consultancy and problem‑solving skills.
- Confident use of people insight and data.
- Experience leading and developing HR professionals.
- CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a regulated or public‑facing sector.
