As our Stock Condition Lead, you'll play a key role in improving the quality, accuracy and integrity of the data we hold on our homes. Working closely with colleagues across Asset Management, Compliance and Data teams, you'll lead the delivery of our Stock Condition Survey programme and help ensure our housing stock remains safe, compliant and fit for the future. The Stock Condition Lead will be instrumental in preparing the organisation for emerging regulatory requirements, including Decent Homes 2, while driving data‑led decision making across our property portfolio.
Using your expertise in asset management, stock condition surveys, housing compliance, and Decent Homes Standards, you'll help shape investment decisions that improve homes and outcomes for residents. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced housing professional who enjoys combining technical expertise, project coordination and stakeholder management to deliver meaningful improvements across a large and diverse housing portfolio.
How you'll do it:
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of the Stock Condition Survey (SCS) programme in line with strategic asset management objectives.
- Oversee programme planning, stakeholder communications and contract management to ensure the successful delivery of surveying activities.
- Manage the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) surveying process and monitor contractor performance.
- Audit survey outputs to ensure data accuracy, consistency and compliance with agreed standards, maintaining quality assurance processes in line with best practice.
- Manage and validate Decent Homes Standard (DHS) failures, developing frameworks to identify risks and support effective remediation.
- Lead organisational readiness for Decent Homes 2, interpreting emerging guidance and working collaboratively with operational and data teams to assess compliance and improve reporting.
The ideal candidate:
- Proven experience in asset management or stock condition surveying within social housing.
- Strong understanding of Decent Homes Standards, HHSRS and housing compliance frameworks.
- Excellent contract management, auditing and data validation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical data and confidently challenge survey outputs where required.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience working across multiple teams.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using asset management systems such as Integrator.
- Experience using asset management systems (e.g., Integrator) and working with cross-functional teams.
