  • What you’ll do

As the Finance Business Partner – Compliance, you will provide high-quality financial support and strategic insight to our Asset Management and Sustainability Directorate.

Working closely with compliance delivery teams, you will help ensure the efficient and effective delivery of key compliance programmes, supporting the safety and quality of residents’ homes.

You will act as a trusted finance partner, providing expert financial guidance, robust analysis and meaningful insight that enables operational leaders to make informed decisions.

Through strong collaboration and financial stewardship, you will contribute to delivering excellent services and achieving organisational priorities.

  • How you’ll do it
  • Provide a high-quality business partnering service to the Compliance team, strengthening financial engagement and supporting effective decision‑making.
  • Build strong relationships with budget holders, enhancing financial understanding and accountability across the service.
  • Deliver high-quality financial management information, analysis and reporting to support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Support the development and evaluation of business cases, ensuring sound financial appraisal and value for money.
  • Continuously improve reporting processes to meet evolving business needs, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance.
  • Analyse, model and interpret financial data to identify opportunities for improved performance and cost effectiveness.
  • Accurately apply relevant accounting standards, legislation and financial regulations, including capital and grant‑funded expenditure.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities, ensuring all information is timely, clear and accurate.
  • Work collaboratively with Analytics, Strategy and operational teams to promote data‑driven decision making.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Asset Management and Sustainability functions.

  • Hold or be working towards a CCAB recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA or equivalent), with a commitment to professional and ethical standards.
  • Experience of providing financial business partnering support within a complex organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and translate findings into meaningful business insight.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to contribute to operational and tactical decision‑making through effective financial support.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and a willingness to develop expertise in D365 and Power BI.
  • Experience of developing effective working relationships within a Finance environment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality work to deadlines.
  • Commitment to customer focus, teamwork and continuous improvement.
