As a Leasehold Officer, you'll be the main housing contact for leaseholders living in our over‑55s retirement schemes. You'll deliver a person‑centred housing service that reflects individual needs while ensuring each scheme is safe, well‑managed, and financially sound. Working closely with residents, colleagues, and contractors, you'll balance wellbeing, property management, and income collection to create environments where people feel supported and secure in their homes.

How you'll do it:

  • Provide tailored housing management support to leaseholders, including regular welfare checks and home visits.
  • Support residents to understand their lease responsibilities, service charges, sinking funds, and payment options.
  • Manage repairs and maintenance in communal areas, liaising with contractors and monitoring quality of work.
  • Oversee health and safety compliance at scheme level, including fire risk assessment actions and site security.
  • Lead resident engagement through meetings, consultations, and feedback on services and budgets.
  • Monitor service charge income and take appropriate action to recover arrears, escalating when necessary.
  • Work with internal teams such as Resales, Assets, and Care & Support to deliver joined‑up services.
  • Maintain clean, welcoming communal areas and support activities that enhance residents' quality of life.

The ideal candidate:

  • Numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to NVQ Level 2.
  • Experience providing a customer‑focused housing or support service to residents.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to apply legislation, policy, and best practice in a housing setting.
  • Effective IT skills, including basic Microsoft Office or similar systems.
