  • Using ER insight and data to identify trends, hotspots and opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting the consistent application of ER policies and helping to build organisational capability

Your impact will be seen through improved consistency, stronger manager capability and a more proactive approach to employee relations across the organisation.

How you’ll do it

  • Lead on a broad range of ER casework including disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness absence and other complex matters
  • Provide clear, balanced and pragmatic advice to managers and HR colleagues, supporting consistent and confident decision‑making
  • Coach and support managers to build their confidence and capability in managing people issues
  • Analyse case trends and contribute to ER insight, supporting targeted interventions and prevention activity
  • Contribute to the development and communication of ER policies and guidance
  • Work collaboratively across HR to ensure ER insight supports wider workforce and culture priorities
  • Maintain high‑quality case documentation, ensuring robust governance and data accuracy
  • Support engagement with Trade Unions and contribute to constructive industrial relations

All about you

  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application
  • Ability to build credible relationships and provide confident, pragmatic advice and challenge
  • Strong judgement, resilience and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
