Are you passionate about good governance, regulatory compliance, and making a real difference in a values-driven organisation? At Notting Hill Genesis, we’re looking for a Compliance Support Officer to help strengthen our compliance framework and support the delivery of safe, transparent, and accountable services for our residents. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, processes, and people — combining analytical thinking with strong stakeholder engagement to help ensure we meet our regulatory obligations and continue to improve how we do things.
As a Compliance Support Officer, you will play a key role in strengthening Notting Hill Genesis’ regulatory compliance and governance framework. Working within the Governance and Risk team, you will support regulatory assurance through effective data management, compliance reporting, audit activity, and continuous improvement. You will help ensure NHG meets its regulatory obligations by maintaining critical compliance tools, supporting audits, analysing compliance data, and working closely with Directors and stakeholders to embed a strong culture of accountability, integrity, and good governance across the organisation.
What you’ll do:
- Supporting organisation-wide understanding of regulatory obligations, including Consumer Credit Licensed products and SM&CR requirements.
- Owning and maintaining the Compliance Calendar as a key governance control, ensuring accurate data, effective workflows, and timely completion of all external returns.
- Managing and monitoring the Asset & Liability Register, following up overdue entries with Directors and promoting good practice standards.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to carry out audits using a risk-based approach, identifying gaps and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Supporting compliance assurance activities, including quarterly audits covering asset and liability monitoring, access controls, and process improvement.
- Tracking actions arising from internal and external audits to ensure timely closure and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Own and oversee the Compliance Hub, ensuring content is accurate, up to date, functional, and user-friendly.
- Analyse compliance data to identify trends, gaps, and risks, producing targeted reports that support performance monitoring and improvement.
- Support the Head of Compliance with the preparation of clear, data-driven reports and papers for the Audit & Risk Committee and Executive Board.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, reports, and action logs.
- Provide guidance and support to compliance tool entry owners to ensure consistent application, high-quality data capture, and alignment with governance standards.
- Support the delivery of compliance training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions across the organisation.
- Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of policies to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Keep up to date with regulatory changes and industry best practice, adapting processes and reporting to meet evolving requirements.
The ideal candidate:
We believe great governance starts with great people. You will be proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working with data, systems, and stakeholders across the organisation.
Essential:
- Professional compliance certification or relevant compliance training.
- Experience working with regulators and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience interpreting, applying, and drafting policies.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to identify trends, gaps, and insights to inform decision-making.
- Proficiency in Excel, with knowledge of D365 and Power BI desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and supporting colleagues to deliver outcomes.
- Strong ethical standards, demonstrating integrity, objectivity, confidentiality, and professional behaviour.

You will live our values and demonstrate them through your work:
- Compassionate – acting with integrity and considering the impact of decisions on people and residents.
- Progressive – driving continuous improvement in compliance processes and governance.
- Dependable – delivering accurate, timely, and reliable compliance support.
