To support this ambition, we are expanding our permanent Repairs Team with roles across a range of levels. This recruitment drive reflects our ongoing investment in service excellence, team development, and long-term stability.
As a Repairs Officer, you will be a key part of our Repairs directorate, making sure day-to-day repairs are coordinated effectively and completed to a high standard. You will use your problem-solving skills and customer-focused mindset to ensure residents only need to ask once—and if things go wrong, we fix them fast. Working closely with colleagues and contractors, you will help maintain safe homes, ensure compliance with regulations, and deliver a service that residents can rely on.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee and progress repairs within internal systems, ensuring timely completion and high standards.
- Use first-line diagnostic skills to support responsive repairs and escalate complex cases when needed.
- Monitor contractor performance, review quotes, and challenge variances to ensure value for money.
- Carry out quality checks on completed works before approving payment and assist with invoice processing.
- Respond to customer enquiries and complaints, keeping residents informed throughout the repair journey.
- Support audits, reporting, and performance monitoring to drive continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with regional teams and contractors to deliver a trusted, reliable repairs service.
The ideal candidate:
- Repairs experience in a similar role.
- Experience developing and managing administrative systems and processes.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a busy environment.
- Background in customer service and performance monitoring against business targets.
- Good understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
