As Strategic Communications Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping and strengthening Notting Hill Genesis’s reputation at a critical time in our transformation journey. Sitting within the Corporate Affairs function, you’ll lead the development and delivery of high-impact communications that tell our story as a purpose-driven organisation and support our performance improvement ambitions.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to align messaging to a clear, compelling strategic narrative—bringing together our social purpose, mission and priorities in a way that resonates with residents, stakeholders and external audiences. This is a high-profile role where you’ll develop and deliver integrated communications campaigns, raise the profile of our Executive team, and ensure our communications are consistent, engaging and impactful across all channels.
How you’ll make a difference
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Brand and Communications, you’ll deliver a strategic communications programme that strengthens our reputation and supports our ambition to be a truly resident-focused organisation. Your work will bring NHG’s social purpose to life, helping colleagues and external audiences understand the impact of our investment in existing homes and our contribution to tackling the housing crisis. You’ll act as a trusted partner to the business—bringing insight from the external environment, spotting opportunities and risks, and ensuring we show up consistently and credibly with all audiences.
How you’ll do it
- Develop and deliver NHG’s reputation strategy, aligning communications to organisational priorities.
- Create and lead integrated, multi-channel campaigns that build awareness and strengthen NHG’s reputation across residents, stakeholders and media.
- Oversee the strategic communications grid, ensuring alignment and prioritisation across all corporate affairs activity.
- Plan and coordinate proactive communications, ensuring consistency across media, digital, internal and stakeholder channels.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders and operational teams to deliver high-quality, insight-led communications plans.
- Lead profile-raising activity for the CEO and Executive team, including media engagement, thought leadership and LinkedIn presence.
- Measure and evaluate communications effectiveness and reputation impact, using insight to continuously improve.
- Work with internal teams and external agencies to develop compelling content across all channels.
- Support crisis and incident communications when required.
- Embed NHG’s values through inclusive, engaging communications that reflect the diversity of our workforce.
