Notting Hill & Ealing High School, one of London’s leading independent girls’ day schools, is seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Assistant Director of Sport (Head of Netball) covering a period of maternity leave. This is a rare and exciting opportunity which offers an ambitious and talented Teacher of Sport the chance to step into a leadership position within a highly regarded school environment.
As Assistant Director of Sport (Head of Netball), you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the strong profile of sport across the school, with particular responsibility for leading and developing netball. Working closely with the Director of Sport, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the department, including the management and coordination of staff, and will gain valuable experience for those aspiring to become a Director of Sport in the future.
About You
We are looking for a well-qualified and motivated Teacher of Sport with a genuine passion for netball and excellent subject knowledge. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of GCSE Physical Education, so applicants must therefore have proven experience of teaching academic PE within a growing and ambitious department. A strong coaching background in netball is essential, along with the confidence to teach at least one of the school’s other core sports, which includes athletics, gymnastics, dance, tennis and cricket. If you are a good communicator who can enthuse and inspire both pupils and colleagues and have exciting ideas about the teaching of Sport and the ways in which it can be further developed and encouraged, we would be delighted to hear from you.
