Industrial Light & Magic is seeking an Animator of all levels to work at its London, United Kingdom office. The position is hybrid, requiring a minimum presence of 2 days per week in the office, combined with occasional work from home.
Job Description
The candidate will create high-quality animations for characters, creatures, and objects generated by computer graphics, using a variety of animation programs under the supervision of Senior Level and Animation Supervisors. Responsibilities include:
- Successfully animating a series of specific shots for a project.
- Participating as a team member to determine aesthetic solutions and providing feedback in dailies.
- Maintaining or exceeding productivity and quality levels while meeting established deadlines.
- Mentoring junior animators and assisting them with their shots.
- Performing other tasks related to the creation of computer-generated animation.
Requirements
- Experience in traditional or computer animation.
- Proven experience in cel, stop motion, or computer animation on high-quality feature films or series.
- Expert knowledge of animation principles, acting, film production, and compositional design evidenced in portfolio, demo reel, and references.
- Knowledge of UNIX and shell scripting, as well as programs like Maya and proprietary software.
- Mid-level and senior artists must be able to mentor junior animators.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques and constraints.
- Extensive knowledge of the CGI production pipeline and ILM processes.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Additional Information
