About the role: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Maths Tutor to join our school on a part-time, twilight basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference to the mathematical confidence and outcomes of students in Years 9, 10, and 11 who are working towards or just beyond the Grade 4 and Grade 5 thresholds. Working from 3.00pm to 4.30pm, up to four days per week during term time, you will deliver targeted small group and 1:1 sessions, working in close partnership with our Maths department. Sessions will be structured around identified gaps in knowledge and understanding, guided by data and teacher referral.

What You Will Do:

  • Deliver focused Maths intervention sessions to small groups and individual students.
  • Target key GCSE content at Foundation and Higher tier, with a particular emphasis on Grade 4/5 boundary students.
  • Use assessment data and teacher guidance to plan purposeful, responsive sessions.
  • Build positive, encouraging relationships that help students develop confidence in Mathematics.
  • Maintain records of student attendance, progress, and outcomes.
  • Liaise with the Maths department to ensure alignment with classroom teaching.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Maths and about supporting young people to succeed.
