We are looking for outstanding Kitchen Assistants who are passionate about food and want to make a difference. You’ll be working part time 22 hours a week (hours will be discussed at interview) at Tupwood Gate Nursing Home. Tupwood Gate is a Nursing Home located in the quiet residential town of Caterham in Surrey, providing outcome-focused care for adults who may be physically frail, with a diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Tupwood Gate provides short stay or longer-term care, offering award-winning end of life care.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Assist the team in providing balanced, appetising meals
- Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
- Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
- Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
- Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
- Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
- Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
