Hours: 7am - 4.30pm Monday - Friday

We are seeking a skilled Spray Technician / Paint Finisher to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. This role involves preparing and finishing a variety of metal components using professional spray-painting techniques. You’ll be responsible for surface preparation, masking, priming, top-coating, and completing touch-up work to ensure every part leaves the workshop to a high standard. If you take pride in producing high-quality finishes and enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced setting, this role could be an excellent fit.
Key Responsibilities:- Read and follow work instructions, job documentation, and customer requirements
- Prepare components by cleaning, masking, sanding, and ensuring surfaces are ready for coating
- Apply primers, topcoats, and specialist finishes using spray equipment
- Handle paints, coatings, and tools safely and correctly
- Carry out touch-ups and quality corrections as needed
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and agreed turnaround times
- Perform basic maintenance on spray equipment and keep the spray booth in good order
- Manage materials, tools, and job documentation throughout the process
- Previous experience in spray painting, paint finishing, or a similar hands-on coating role
- Good understanding of different paints, coatings, and paint-removal methods - wet spray, powder coating etc
- Strong attention to detail and confident in achieving high-quality finishes
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as diagrams or work instructions
- Good hand–eye coordination and confident using various tools and spray equipment
- Able to work well as part of a small team.
