We are looking for an experienced Multi trade Operative with extensive experience with other multi trades to work on various social housing, domestic and commercial contracts for a leading company, covering Peterborough and 50 miles radius, on a long term ongoing weekly CIS basis.

Responsibilities:
– Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to specifications.
– Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
-The work would be second fix carpentry to doors, skirting, architrave etc and some maintenance and multi trade skillset.
– Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures
– Follow blueprints and building plans to meet client requirements
– Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and disassemble structures

Experience within Domestic social housing, or call homes or simular etc.

Experience:
– Minimum of 5 years of experience as a carpenter
– Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
– Knowledge of carpentry techniques and best practices
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
– Experience with second fix carpentry, roofing, painting, or fabrication is a plus

Skills:
– Proficient in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, and levels
– Familiarity with power tools such as drills, sanders, and routers
– Ability to plumb walls and structures accurately
– Knowledge of assembling and disassembling structures using appropriate techniques
– Must be physically fit.

Ideally have NVQ in Carpentry/Joinery or equivalent.

Pay & Hours :

  • £160 per day – ongoing contract.
  • Monday to Friday
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Must have own Van
  • Van and fuel card provided after initial probation stage passed.
  • You will be required to use your own van and fuel until you are taken on by the client.
