Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple high-quality residential construction projects, including new builds and heritage properties. The role involves managing contracts from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to exceptional standards. Projects are across Bath, Chippenham, Wick, Doynton, and Wiltshire. Ideally, candidates should live around Bath or surrounding areas. It is beneficial for a Contracts Manager to have previous experience working on high-end properties and heritage projects.
You will work closely with subcontractors, Quantity Surveyors, site teams, and clients, maintaining strong relationships while ensuring commercial and contractual compliance across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer construction contracts across multiple sites.
- Oversee projects involving high-end residential, bespoke new builds, and heritage/period properties.
- Liaise closely with subcontractors, Quantity Surveyors (QSs), and internal teams.
- Ensure projects meet contractual, commercial, and programme requirements.
- Monitor project progress, variations, valuations, and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Conduct site visits across the region to review performance and resolve issues.
- Identify and manage contractual risks and opportunities.
- Support dispute resolution and commercial negotiations where required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the Domestic or Construction industry.
- Strong background in high-end residential construction, including heritage and listed buildings.
- SMSTS Certificate (essential).
- Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Full UK driving licence.
