Responsible for the overall operations and coordination of the design team. This includes developing and implementing processes and procedures to ensure the team have clarity and remain creative, as well as managing budgets and timelines. The Senior Manager, Design Operations reports to the Global Design Director. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the design team and ensuring that all projects are completed on time, we keep within budget and the team runs smoothly. They will work closely with the Global Design Director to set goals, manage timelines and allocate resources. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working with creative and innovative teams, spanning both Hardware and Experience/software. They will have a strong understanding of the creative process, as well as project management methodologies. You will be an excellent communicator and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously as well as end-to-end parts of the product development process.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the design team, including, but not limited to project management, budgeting, scheduling and resourcing.
- Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and to the right fidelity.
- Assist in the development of long-term strategic projects for the department.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members.
- Ensure there is a weekly cadence that suits the needs of the team.
- Monitor departmental KPIs and take corrective action as necessary.
- Stay up to date on industry best practice and trends.
- Identify process improvements and implement change.
- Serve as the liaison point with the design team and other departments within the company.
- Foster a creative and collaborative environment within the department.
- Handle conflict resolution in product design forums.
- Line management responsibility for the Studio Assistant for the London Design Studio.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrable commercial professional experience in creative adjacent roles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.

- Bachelors degree preferably in creative discipline.
