Nothing exists to make tech feel exciting again.

We’re building a different kind of company, one that puts design, emotion, and human creativity at the heart of everything we do. From the way our products look to how they sound, feel, and function, we care about the details that make technology not just useful, but inspiring.

This is a place for the curious. The creators. The ones who ask why not and mean it. If you\’re drawn to bold ideas, fast moves, and work that actually makes you feel something, you’ll fit right in.

We\’re not here to follow the rules. We\’re here to make better ones.

About Nothing

Founded in London in 2020, Nothing is a design-led tech company building an alternative to the industry giants. Our products – from award-winning smartphones to expressive audio and wearables – blend iconic design with intuitive engineering to put people and creativity back at the centre of consumer tech.

Backed by GV (Google Ventures), EQT Ventures, C Ventures, and influential investors like Tony Fadell (iPod), Casey Neistat, and Kevin Lin (Twitch), we’ve grown from startup to global challenger in just a few years.

The Role

As a Lead Product Interface Designer, you\’ll work within the multi-disciplinary Industrial Design Team in King\’s Cross, London, alongside other designers, creative technologists and engineer to invent, prototype and ship the technology of the future.

We are looking for an expert-level design practitioner to help us imagine our next generation of product interfaces, interactions and features.

The right candidate might have trained in Industrial Design, Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Graphic Design or Human Factors. But today you will be an incredible digital craftsperson whose bread-and-butter is creating boundary-pushing graphics, UI concepts and motion.

You will also have strong professional experience interfacing with the hardware domain. You may have designed interaction systems feature tactile controls such as buttons and dials, or designed for small wearable displays. As a hardware company, this experience is a non-negotiable.
You\’ll be responsible for running projects independently, managing your own schedule and tasks, and defining the technical product requirements in order that your work can become reality.

What we expect from all of our designers:

  • Interesting and original concept generation
  • Creative and collaborative problem solving
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Confidence designing for a brand with bold aesthetic direction and a clear vision
  • Great taste

As a Lead Product Interface Designer we\’ll expect:

  • World-class concept-generation and digital design skills, with the ability to craft pixel-perfect assets.
  • Wizard-level at both Figma and After Effects.
  • A hunger to research, conceive, specify and pitch new interaction systems, novel features, and whole product concepts.
  • Experience designing interaction systems that intersect hardware and software – this is not just a digital design job
  • A product person who can speak some of the same language as engineers (software + hardware) in order to communicate clearly and solve problems together

Most of all, we’re looking for creative people who see the world like we do. If you think that’s you, please get in touch.

What we offer

A chance to shape the voice of one of the most exciting tech brands

Fast-paced and creative environment with global reach

A culture that values curiosity, creativity, and doing things differently

A commitment to building a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming workplace for all
