Role Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced MSK Physiotherapist to join a multidisciplinary team at a key site in Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater, Somerset. This is a part-time role, requiring 30 hours of work per week, with working hours on Mondays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Tuesdays to Thursdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The successful candidate will be an integral part of delivering exceptional Occupational Health services and will make a real difference to employees’ lives on site. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders.
- Classify presenting clinical conditions and determine work-relatedness.
- Provide detailed reports to management following assessments and at discharge, outlining employees’ fitness to work and any necessary role adjustments.
- Lead onsite exercise classes to aid rehabilitation for employees with MSK injuries.
- Communicate effectively with the wider Occupational Health team.
- Conduct DSE (Display Screen Equipment) assessments and offer advice on preventative measures.
- Recommend changes or equipment after conducting DSE assessments.
- Identify hazards within the workplace and assess the risk of aggravating musculoskeletal health issues.
- Conduct ergonomic risk assessments with Safety Health & Environment advisors to identify workplace risks.
- Provide the OH team with information on any required changes to work practices or environments.
- Assist with the effective rehabilitation of staff with MSK disorders, whether work-related or not.
- Maintain comprehensive records of assessments and treatment.
- Collect statistical information for report generation and contribute to health promotion events.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in conducting comprehensive clinical assessments.
- Knowledge of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions and injuries, and associated treatment.
- Experience with ergonomic assessments and workstation evaluations.
- Ability to conduct face-to-face assessments and lead workshops.
- Strong understanding of DSE assessments and health promotion.
- Strong report writing skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Proficient IT skills and the ability to work remotely when needed.
- Excellent understanding of patient confidentiality and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) law.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy.
- Master's degree (desirable).
- HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration.
Salary & Benefits:
- We are offering a competitive salary of up to £45,000 FTE (pro rata for part-time work), depending on experience and qualifications.
