An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the finance team of a fast-growing and highly successful manufacturing business based in Leeds. The company has experienced significant growth in recent years, with further expansion planned. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role offers excellent exposure to a broad range of finance activities, including involvement in the month-end process. It is an ideal opportunity for an Accounts Assistant looking to develop their skills within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the purchase ledger function
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Correctly coding invoices
- Processing company expenses
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
- Assisting with the sales ledger process
- Assisting with general ledger reconciliations
The Candidate
- Previous all-round experience within an accounts payable/purchase ledger role
- Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail
- A flexible and positive approach, able to work both independently and as part of a small team
- Well organised, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- IT confident, with strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Studying towards AAT qualification (desirable)
