Full time position - 37.5 hours per week, Weekdays only Monday to Friday. An element of flexibility required for holiday/sickness cover. Day time hours, No evenings, nights or split shifts.
Notcutts is a family owned National Garden Centre Group. We're now looking to recruit a Kitchen Porter for our Garden Pride Garden Centre restaurant.
What we’re looking for:
- Super cool under pressure with a passion for maintaining high standards of efficiency and cleanliness within a kitchen environment.
- An excellent communicator who knows how to work well as part of a team.
As the Kitchen Porter, you’ll take responsibility for keeping the kitchen running efficiently and spotlessly clean during and after service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks (if required).
- Emptying bins and managing waste disposal.
- Ensuring all cleaning schedules are followed.
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Our restaurant is open during Garden Centre hours (No evenings, nights or split shifts!).
