School/College Leaver Tax Trainee, East Midlands, September 2026
Looking to start your Tax career in 2026? Do you have a love of numbers, analytics and problem solving? Do you love building relationships? Whether you have just completed your A Levels or just had some time out – our pathway can help you work towards being a qualified accountant! Our Tax team is based at our East Midlands office. As a Tax Trainee, you will assist small teams to really understand our clients and what they want to achieve and advise them on how to get there. Role to start September 2026 with interviews taking place Tuesday 9th June in our SkyView office!
About you...

Studying for a professional qualification while working is not an easy pathway. You will need to be committed and have amazing project management skills to balance studies and the day job. Our minimum requirement would be a minimum of three A Levels or equivalent with grades BBC (with a minimum of one A Level in numerics or business‑related subjects). We’re mindful of candidates who may have extenuating circumstances whilst completing their education and did not meet the minimum academic requirements. About the day to day...
- Turning complex jargon into simple terms and actions for our clients
- Making sure our clients are compliant by preparing and submitting their tax returns
- Liaising with HMRC around tax returns and gaining tax reliefs
- Generating new ideas, solutions and spotting opportunities to enhance our client offering
- Keeping up to date with changes to legislation and the impact they may have on our clients
Alongside the day‑to‑day, you will also study for your ACA/CTA or ATT/CTA qualification through attending college courses and on‑the‑job training. The pathway to qualification takes around four years if you’re a school/college leaver and you’ll be supported along the way by your colleagues, managers and our dedicated Student Support Manager.
