Make a measurable difference to children and young people in West London. This is a rare opportunity for an Educational Psychologist to join a warm, values‐driven service providing high‐quality educational and psychological support to children, young people, families and local schools.
Working term‐time only, you'll have the space to deliver meaningful, relationship‐based work while contributing to a service that is genuinely committed to trauma‐informed, inclusive practice.
The Role
As Educational Psychologist, you will play a key role in improving outcomes for children and young people experiencing barriers to learning, social‐emotional needs or complex life experiences. You will:
- Conduct specialist psychological assessments to understand cognitive, emotional and behavioural development.
- Deliver one‐to‐one and group interventions that build resilience, emotional regulation and positive learning outcomes.
- Support schools to embed trauma‐informed, relational and inclusive approaches.
- Provide professional advice to teachers, parents and multi‐agency partners.
- Contribute to EHCP processes and SEND frameworks with high‐quality written and verbal advice.
- Support students through key transitions, helping them develop confidence and long‐term learning strategies.
- Design and deliver training for school staff, families and professionals on mental health, behaviour and wellbeing.
About You
You will be a compassionate, reflective practitioner with:
- Experience applying trauma‐informed or relational approaches with children and young people.
- Strong skills in psychological assessment and contributing to EHCPs.
- The ability to provide strategic guidance to schools on behaviour, learning and emotional wellbeing.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with diverse communities.
- Cultural competence and the ability to tailor support to individual needs.
- HCPC registration (essential).
About the Service
You'll be joining a multidisciplinary team including specialist teachers, therapists, family practitioners and careers support. The service combines direct work with children and families alongside capacity‐building across local schools. Its aims are to:
- Provide high‐quality educational and psychological support
- Strengthen the skills and confidence of children, families and carers.
- Evaluate and demonstrate the impact of its work.
