About Nory
Let’s fix hospitality, for good. Hospitality is tough – margins are thin, waste is high, and teams are stretched. That’s why we built Nory. Our CEO, Conor, founded and scaled Mad Egg in Ireland and set out to build the tool he wished he’d had from day one. Nory is an all‑knowing restaurant management system that blends real‑time data with AI predictive analytics, giving operators control of their margins and helping restaurants run with consistency, certainty, and profit. Fresh off a Series B led by Kinnevik, we’ve grown to 70+ people across Ireland, the UK, and Spain – and demand is scaling faster than we ever imagined.
Role: Senior Analytics Engineer
You’ll be our first analytics hire and help shape how we use data to operate smarter at every level of the business. The platforms are in place — Snowflake, dbt, Omni, Airbyte — and now we need someone to turn raw ingredients into something powerful. This role is ideal for someone who has progressed to Senior in an established team and is looking for headroom to take broader ownership of analytics.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build company‑wide KPI dashboards: Work with the exec team to build and roll out dashboards that replace manual spreadsheets and CSV exports.
- Enable quarterly planning and execution: Own the development and tracking of company and team‑level targets, supporting how we plan, measure, and execute across the business.
- Deliver internal data products: Collaborate with Ops, GTM, Marketing, Finance, Product, and CS to create curated data marts, prebuilt dashboards, and interactive reports.
- Model, document, and test our data: Build a deep understanding of our data sources and materialise them into easy‑to‑use models in dbt. Implement testing, documentation, and quality alerting.
- Enable the rest of the business: Support teams in learning and using our BI tools effectively. From onboarding new joiners to levelling up power users, help others become more data‑driven.
What you’ll bring:
- Senior‑level analytics experience: At least 3 years working in modern analytics teams at tech startups, building dashboards and processes.
- Strong SQL and dbt skills: Write clean, modular code, build thoughtful data models, and maintain clear lineage.
- Data warehousing know‑how: Solid theoretical knowledge of data warehousing, debug non‑performant queries, design fit‑for‑purpose schemas.
- Tooling fundamentals: Experience with cloud data platforms and BI tools, especially Omni, Snowflake, and Airbyte.
- Business‑first mindset: Care about outcomes, balance detail with pragmatism, and keep the end‑user in mind.
- Startup readiness: Motivated by autonomy, ambiguity, and the chance to shape something from the ground up.
What you’ll get in return:
- Competitive salary range depending on experience
- Meaningful equity – everyone is an owner!
- 35 days of paid leave per year (including bank holidays)
- Comprehensive private health insurance via Irish Life (Ireland) and Axa (UK)
- Enhanced parental leave and baby loss support
- Learning & development culture – €1000 personal annual budget + quarterly book budget
- €250 home office workspace budget
- Regular team offsites & socials
- Offices in either London (LABS House, 15‑19 Bloomsbury Way) or Dublin (Dogpatch Labs, The Chq Building, Custom House Quay, North Wall)
- And much more
