Location: Ravenswood Village – Orchard Salary: £37,301.45 – £41,446 per annum Hours: 37.5 hours per week Contract: 6 month fixed term contract Working pattern: across 7 Days, core hours between 8am-4pm Mon-Fri Here at Norwood, we are looking for a Registered Home Manager that can run a busy vibrant home for adults with learning disabilities for a period of six months. We support and empower neurodiverse children, their families and people with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live their best lives. This position is responsible for the running of the residential care home for Adults. You\’ll be responsible for managing the service in line with Norwood’s Vision, Mission and Values whilst ensuring compliance with the Essential Standards for Quality and Safety, as defined in the Health and Social Care Act (2008). The purpose of this role is to create positive relationships with everyone involved in providing support to the individuals within our residential homes and ensure a high quality of service and people centred care is provided. Key responsibilities of the Registered Home Manager include: * Maintain a high-quality service working in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders to manage and support all services * To create and develop positive relationships with families and other professionals * Review budgets, staff rotas, complaints and relationship building with external regulatory bodies * Provide support, supervision, development and mentoring to all staff including appraisal and supervision * To contribute to the development of new policies and practices within the Home and to maintain systems Work within and maintain the quality management system for the organisation and to adhere to the CQC standards and regulations * Cover on-call duties on a rota in conjunction with the Deputy Manager Experience and Skills required: * Registration as Registered Person under the Health and Social Care Act (2008) is an essential requirement of this role. * Achieved NVQ Level 4 Health & Social care, and be working towards level 5 or be willing to undertake this qualification. * Previous experience working in a residential/supported living setting including supervisory responsibilities, supporting neurodivergent adults. * Willingness to undertake the Skills for Care Induction Benefits at Norwood include: * What Norwood offer: * Fully Paid Induction: Get the support you need from day one! * Workplace Pension Scheme: Plan for your future with confidence. * 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (FTE): For a well-earned rest. * NVQ Level 2-5 Health & Social Care Qualification: Boost your skills and knowledge. * Career Progression Pathway: Your growth is our priority. * Employee Assistance Programme: We care about your well-being. * £300 When You Introduce a Friend: Spread the word and reap the rewards. * Free Eye test & Eyewear allowance * Access to ‘Blue Light’ discount scheme * Cycle to work scheme If you are interested in this vacancy, please press apply!
