About the Role

As Events Coordinator (Challenges), you will lead the operational planning and delivery of Norwood’s challenge events portfolio. Working as part of the Events & Sponsorship team, you will manage participant journeys from recruitment through to post-event stewardship, ensuring every event delivers a high-quality experience and strong fundraising outcomes. You will work closely with fundraising, marketing and donor engagement colleagues to grow participation, strengthen supporter relationships and maximise income generation.

You will:

  • Deliver a portfolio of UK and international challenge events
  • Coordinate event logistics, timelines, suppliers and participant communications
  • Support participant recruitment and fundraising activity
  • Build strong relationships with supporters, volunteers and stakeholders
  • Help create engaging supporter journeys that encourage long-term involvement with Norwood

Your Day to Day

You will:

  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of challenge events from start to finish
  • Work with challenge providers, suppliers and partners to ensure smooth delivery
  • Recruit and support participants through regular communication and stewardship
  • Motivate supporters to achieve and exceed fundraising targets
  • Work closely with Marketing to support event promotion and recruitment campaigns
  • Prepare reports, updates and insights for the Challenge Events Committee
  • Ensure accurate recording of participant and fundraising data within the CRM
  • Monitor participation, income and event performance to support future planning
  • Represent Norwood positively at events and within the community
