About the Role
We’re looking for kind, dependable Support Workers to join the team at Eretz, a friendly, purpose-led home within Ravenswood Village. You will be part of a small, supportive team helping adults with complex needs live their lives with dignity, independence, and choice. This is a role where patience, consistency, and human connection make the biggest difference.
About Norwood
Founded in 1795, Norwood is the oldest Jewish charity in the UK. We support and empower neurodiverse children and their families and people with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live their best lives. At Norwood, you’ll make a real difference every day. You’ll be part of a supportive and inclusive team, guided by values of kindness, respect, empowerment and belonging. We invest in your growth, care about your wellbeing, and give you the pride of knowing your work changes lives.
Eretz is a large two-storey house within the Ravenswood Estate, home to eight adults aged 40s to 70s with moderate to severe neurodevelopmental disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism, and additional needs such as epilepsy and mobility challenges. Several residents communicate verbally, while others use signing, objects of reference, or body language. Building understanding and trust is central to the support you’ll provide. People supported at Eretz enjoy a calm, social lifestyle with interests including coffee shop visits, film and TV, singing, and car outings. Some are sociable and interactive, while others prefer more independent routines. Shifts typically run from 07:00–21:00, with waking night support in place. Rota planning flexes around people’s preferences and needs — not the other way around. You’ll be joining a stable and values-led team committed to Kindness, Respect, Belonging, and Empowerment.
