We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to conduct In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) according to the current edition of the IET Code of Practice. The candidate will produce results that meet client and accrediting body standards, manage appliance testing in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations, and liaise with customers across schools, hospitals, hotels and universities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct PAT testing and inspections on client sites.
- Prepare and submit results each week to the PAT team at Head Office.
- Manage own schedule and adhere to start and finish times as directed by the PAT Manager.
- Ensure health and safety compliance and co‑operate with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and pre‑empt potential customer dissatisfaction (e.g., timing, route planning).
- Provide accurate timekeeping and maintain an acceptable record.
Requirements
- Full Manual UK Drivers Licence.
- Current DBS check at enhanced level.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and capable of weekly report downloads.
- Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and in diverse environments.
- Must comply with health and safety, employment legislation and company policies.
