The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 Β£ per year.
The successful candidate will carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) in accordance with the current edition of the IET Code of Practice. Produce results which meet the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies. Manage appliance testing in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations. Liaise with customers to ensure that the work is carried out efficiently, to customer requirements, whilst limiting disruption to their business. Sites include Schools, Hospitals, Hotels and Universities. The engineer should have an acceptable knowledge of Microsoft Office and access to email; weekly you will download and submit results to the PAT team at Head Office. Job schedules will be arranged by the PAT Team at Head Office; however, the engineer must manage their own time efficiently and effectively. Maintain good timekeeping and ensure that start and finish times are adhered to as directed by the PAT Manager. Identify, prevent or pre-empt potential areas for customer dissatisfaction, for example arriving late due to traffic. Good route preparation and forward planning is vital.
Responsibilities

- Produce results meeting client and external accreditation standards.
- Manage appliance testing in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.
- Liaise with customers to ensure work is performed efficiently and with minimal disruption.
- Coordinate with the PAT Team at Head Office for scheduling and reporting requirements.
- Download and send weekly results to the PAT team; ensure timely submission.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timekeeping aligns with schedules.
- Identify and address potential causes of customer dissatisfaction; plan routes and work arrangements accordingly.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Good organisational skills; hard working, competent and reliable.
- Excellent communication skills; able to work in a team and independently.
- Proficient with ICT; Microsoft Office skills.
- Access to a Laptop/tablet/computer to download reports (weekly).
- Willing to work in different environments; comply with current uniform standards and wear the company uniform correctly.
- Must hold a Full Manual UK Driving Licence.
- Must pass Full enhanced DBS check.
- Full-time role: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; some weekend work may be required and occasional out-of-hours work.
- Some time away from home (Monday to Friday) may be involved.
