We are a well-established and expanding electrical compliance contractor, and we’re looking for an experienced Electrical Operations Manager to lead our Electrical Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, growing business and play a key role in delivering high-quality commercial electrical compliance and service contracts.
What You’ll Be Doing
As the head of Electrical Operations, you will oversee the full lifecycle of multiple commercial electrical compliance contracts and associated works across schools, office buildings, industrial sites, warehouses, public buildings and hospitals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operational & Contract Management
- Leading the day-to-day operations of Technical, Admin and Electrical team.
- Coordinating with estimating and senior management to ensure contracts remain on budget and deliver as expected.
- Overseeing labour planning, material supply and general contract requirements.
- Conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure smooth running of contracts.
- Reporting on completed works and escalating issues promptly.
- Ensuring all works meet required quality standards.
- Identifying and implementing efficiency improvements across contracts.
- Attending client meetings to discuss requirements, progress and performance.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Contracts/Operations Manager.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-18 or later).
- Electrical Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391 or equivalent).
- Strong working knowledge of BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations and relevant Codes of Practice.
- NICEIC Qualified Supervisor status.
- Excellent communication and IT skills (Word, Excel).
- Experience managing commercial-sector electrical contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Self-motivated, organised and able to use initiative.
- Willingness to travel to sites across the regions we operate in.
Desirable
- Health & Safety certifications (IOSH, SSSTS or SMSTS).
- Experience managing both small- and large-scale projects.
Hours
Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. No weekend working.
