Role: Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician
Status: Full-time
Salary: $22 – $26 / hour
Schedule: Four-day workweeks. Saturday, Sunday off.

Norwich Regional Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate and engaged Veterinary Technician to join our small but mighty team. We are a one-vet small animal general practice with a diverse clientele. We balance our schedule so that not only are we never double-booked, but we also have room to see urgent cases (both our clients' and others'). We have two exam rooms, a treatment room, a lab, a surgery suite, and an X-ray. This is a place where we are truly a team. Collaboration is the name of the game, and we make sure that all staff get what they need while also taking care of clients. The education and lived experiences of each of us are valued and listened to, from our rescue-savvy receptionist to our dog-sport competitor veterinary assistant. Every day is a new set of clients and a new adventure where you can dig into your vet tech knowledge without feeling overwhelmed. What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) is highly desirable; equivalent training and experience may substitute.
- Genuinely enjoys working with animals and can deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.

What You’ll Contribute
- Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
- Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
- Experience in monitoring anesthesia
- Emergency and surgical care - including IV catheter placement
- Obtaining diagnostics - including radiographs, phlebotomy, and sample collection, and performing in-house lab work
- Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff
- Succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions
