Part‑time Hourly Lecturer – Computing

Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering teaching sessions of up to 50 hours an academic year, usually in 3‑hour blocks.
- Preparing lecture material, handouts, and tutorial notes.
- Administering assessments, writing assessment marks, and providing formative feedback.
- Supporting students in taking creative risks and addressing global challenges.
- Maintaining accurate register systems and supporting the academic day‑to‑day.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong programming skills (essential) with proficiency in Unity and C# (essential).
- Hands‑on experience with Virtual Reality projects (essential) and optionally Augmented Reality projects (desirable).
- Experience using Python for Machine Learning (desirable).
- Working knowledge of web development (advantageous).
- Strong organisational, communication, and team‑working skills.
- Professional and/or teaching experience in a related area.
- Relevant HE level teaching experience in the UK is preferred.
Compensation
Salary: £46.71 per teaching hour and £18.25 per hour for assessment. The usual work days are Monday‑Thursday, with up to two blocks per day; \"up to 50 hours across the academic year\".
