Norwich University of the Arts is one of Britain’s leading specialist creative universities, combining 180 years of heritage with a forward-looking approach to innovation. As the only specialist arts and design university to have achieved Triple Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework, we are recognised nationally for excellence in student experience, student outcomes and teaching quality.

The University is a vibrant community central to its city and region. Our campus sits at the heart of Norwich’s creative quarter in the city centre, comprising brand-new state-of-the-art facilities and including the recently acquired iconic Bank Plain building. Creativity is not only what we teach but how we engage with the world. Through our Research and Knowledge Exchange Institutes, industry partnerships and growing international networks, we are demonstrating the role that creative education can play in addressing global challenges and opportunities.

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious professional with a strong international background and an established reputation in global higher education to lead our global partnerships strategy and international recruitment activity at a senior level. This is a pivotal role at an exciting moment in the University’s development and an opportunity to shape how a distinctive specialist university engages with the world.

The Associate Director will hold institutional ownership of Norwich’s international growth ambitions, leading the development and management of our international partnership portfolio and international recruitment activity. You will identify and secure transformative relationships with creative institutions, cultural organisations and industry partners worldwide, set strategic direction for our China and East Asia activity, oversee our education agent network and enhance Norwich’s global profile and influence.

We are looking for a senior professional with a substantial and progressive track record in international higher education partnership development, international recruitment or international relations. You will have the ability to influence at executive level, a proven record of building successful international partnerships and the strategic vision and credibility to enhance Norwich’s global presence. Significant experience and stakeholder networks in East Asia would be advantageous.

You will join a close-knit team with direct access to the Vice-Chancellor’s Office and a genuine opportunity to shape institutional strategy at a university small enough to move quickly and distinctive enough to stand out.
