Due to the nature of this contract, successful applicants will be required to attend all dates stated in the attached schedule. Rest days are outlined in the schedule.
Hours: As per attached Pantomime Schedules and requirements of Job Description
Fee: £992.86 weekly fee, plus £119.84 Holiday pay per week. Subsistence in line with 2026 UK Theatre rates and Travel will also be payable if successful applicants address is further than 25 miles of the venue.
Location: Rehearsals will take place at Norwich Theatre Stage Two. Performances at Norwich Theatre Royal.

About the role: We are looking for an experienced Deputy Stage Manager to support the management of rehearsals, pre-production, performances and stage management strike of our Pantomime production. This role will attend all rehearsals and compile the show book, including taking blocking, rehearsal notes, setting lists and running lists. The DSM is responsible for calling the production from the show book that you have compiled as part of the rehearsal process.
About you: With proven experience as a Deputy Stage Manager previously in a theatre or touring production, including the creation of a prompt copy, you will have overseen running rehearsal rooms and technical systems, and have a working knowledge of the functions and capabilities of production systems. You will have strong team skills and can effectively manage a team. You will also be able to work flexibly, with varied hours as documented in the schedule.
