Overview
Norwich City Football Development Programme is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable sports coaches to join our team as Casual Schools Sports Coaches. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic PE lessons, lunchtime, and after-school sessions within primary schools, inspiring children to develop a love for physical activity.
This opportunity is ideal for college/university students or recent graduates seeking flexible work, as well as experienced coaches looking to expand their hours.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons, After School Clubs and other sports activities in line with the national curriculum.
- Lead structured sessions during breakfast, lunch, and after-school clubs.
- Plan and execute a variety of activities to engage and motivate children towards active and healthy lifestyles.
- Ensure all sessions are inclusive, fun, and educational.
Essential qualifications
- First Aid qualification
- Basic Safeguarding qualification
- Relevant coaching qualification
- Knowledge of how young people learn and develop
- Understanding of the PE national curriculum and sports development
- Experience working with young people in a sports environment
- Ability to effectively and safely manage different groups
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Minimum 1 year of sports coaching experience

- All coaches will undergo a safer recruitment and induction process, including an enhanced DBS check, before delivering any sessions.
