Overview

Norwich City Football Club is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Football Development team as a Player & Coach Recruitment Officer, with a focus on Hertfordshire and Suffolk. This exciting role is central to identifying talented grassroots players, recruiting quality coaches, and ensuring the smooth running of our development centres.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on player recruitment by scouting and identifying talented grassroots players across Hertfordshire and Suffolk.
  • Recruit and support coaches to deliver high-quality development sessions.
  • Ensure football development centres in Suffolk and Hertfordshire are fully staffed, structured, and operating effectively.
  • Liaise with parents, grassroots coaches, and local clubs to build strong relationships within the community.
  • Attend player recruitment events, grassroots festivals, and games to raise the visibility of the Football Development Programme.
  • Provide administration support: managing registrations, scheduling, and communication with families and coaches.
  • Support centres in Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas when required.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of grassroots football and a passion for player development.
  • Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to build strong local networks.
  • Organised, proactive, and confident in managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Hertfordshire, Suffolk, and occasionally Cambridgeshire.
  • Previous experience in football coaching, recruitment, or sports development would be advantageous.
