An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join The Physical Performance & Nutrition Department at Norwich City Football Club in the role of Academy Physical Performance Coach. This is an excellent role for an ambitious and driven individual who is passionate about the physical development of youth athletes. The candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to positively influence a coaching programme and work well within an MDT in an elite Academy setting.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- To provide delivery of Physical Performance support to all Academy squads.
- Assist in the implementation of the Club's strength and power development strategy across all Academy squads.
- Assist in writing and continually updating the department’s Academy Physical Performance Plan.
- To act in a manner that supports the Club’s Values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride and Commitment.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Undergraduate degree in a Sport Science-related subject.
- BASES Accreditation OR Recognised strength and conditioning qualification (e.g., NSCA CSCS, UKSCA).
- Experience of delivering sports science / S&C support in elite sport.
- Demonstrable experience of strategic planning.
- Live EMFAIF First Aid Certificate.
Desirable
- UEFA B License.
