CCTV Monitoring Operator in Norwich

We have an exciting opportunity for a CCTV Monitoring Operator to join our community safety team in the vibrant City of Norwich.

As a team member you will support Norwich City Council build on their ambition to drive forward the long term shared vision for the city.

As a CCTV Monitoring Operator you will provide a vital role supporting the safety and security of people and property within public spaces covered by the council' s CCTV surveillance network.

This post involves working variable hours and irregular work patterns.

You will be working Friday and Saturday evenings on alternating shifts of 6pm-midnight and midnight to 6am . Occasional additional shifts will be required on weekday evenings and to support events and public activities that occur outside of these hours.

The role averages 38 hours per month and involves being present for up to 3 hours each month for supervision/team meetings during normal office hours on a weekday.

If you do not already have a valid SIA Public Space (CCTV) Licence you will need to be available to undertake full training to achieve this soon after recruitment. Training will take place with a specialist provider over three days, Monday to Wednesday, from 8.00am to 5.30pm. There will be online pre-course learning to undertake prior to starting.

You will also need to attend initial induction training sessions on a week day during office hours.
