Are you passionate about the fascinating world of reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates? Do you thrive in hands‑on environments where every day brings something new? Would you like to be part of a forward‑thinking team shaping the future of a developing Animal Management Centre? If so, this brand‑new role could be perfect for you. This is an additional technician post, created to support the growth and development of our Animal Centre, supporting our current LVI Technician to improve our facilities, and elevate the student experience.
About the Role
As our LVI Technician, you will champion the care, welfare, and development of our specialist species, ranging from reptiles and amphibians to aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates. You’ll play a key role in:
- Maintaining excellent welfare, husbandry and environmental standards
- Managing life support systems including water quality, UV, humidity and temperature
- Developing enclosures, biotopes and bioactive habitats
- Supporting breeding programmes and conservation‑focused husbandry
- Supervising students during duties sessions, practical lessons and demonstrations
- Collaborating with staff to create outstanding practical learning experiences
- Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our growing animal collections
