City College Norwich is looking for an accomplished FE professional to lead quality processes, professional learning, teaching qualifications and curriculum innovation.
About the Role:
As the Vice Principal for Quality, Teaching Enhancement and Innovation, you will provide strong, effective leadership of our quality processes across the college group. You will manage and lead the development and improvement of our professional learning for FE classroom staff from qualifications to continued professional learning. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our curriculum meets strategic goals and KPIs, and you will lead our curriculum planning processes to promote strong intent across all programmes from pre 16 to apprenticeships and higher education. Alongside this, you will hold a deputy principal role for our campus at Paston College.
Key Responsibilities:
- High Quality Teaching, Learning and Assessment – Lead an ambitious approach to the development of the group and its college’s teaching practice.
- Initial Teacher Education (FE) & Professional Learning – Ensure a strong offer for all staff working directly with our learners.
- Assurance – Lead our quality assurance processes, preparing effectively for regulatory activity (Ofsted, TEF, Awarding Bodies).
- Curriculum Planning - Lead the development of an innovative and high-quality teaching and learning offer.
- Innovation - Lead the group in looking to the future to be ready for the new and emerging priorities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant first degree and professional qualification.
- Teaching qualification at Level 4 or above.
- Evidence of continued professional development and contribution to curriculum development.
- Proven leadership and management experience including quality improvement.

- High levels of interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
