We are looking for an experienced and skilled Lecturer and Assessor to develop our Plumbing, Heating and Renewables offer at CCN, using our fantastic new Renewables Hub at our Easton Campus. You will want to have an influence on the next generation of technicians developing the skills and knowledge of Apprentices and upskilling the adult workforce in Norfolk.
In this role, you will be delivering practical and theory sessions to groups of apprentices and adults in college and engaging with learners and employers assessing competence in the workplace. You will need a strong technical skillset as well as excellent interpersonal skills. We have high standards for our students, and you will be tracking, recording work and assessments so you will need to be well organised and efficient as well as a confident user of IT.
If you have been working in an environment where you are used to giving feedback constructively and setting challenging but realistic targets, that would be beneficial when applying for these roles. You will have a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing & Heating and at least 3 years’ experience in industry including some experience of working in renewables.
Ideally, you will have teaching qualifications, however, we would love to hear from you if you have the appropriate industry skills, and experience, great communication skills (written and verbal) and the patience and passion to help others learn, develop and progress. We genuinely aim to make a difference to people's life chances by delivering apprenticeships.
