City College Norwich is looking for a Senior Events and Engagement Officer to lead, inspire and deliver exceptional events and engagement activity across our vibrant and diverse college community.
About the role
As our Senior Events and Engagement Officer, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the college connects with future learners, partners, and the wider community. From large‑scale community events to college celebrations and targeted recruitment campaigns, you’ll ensure every event reflects the high standards, creativity and ambition of City College Norwich.
You’ll take the lead on planning, delivering and evaluating multi‑channel engagement activity, working closely with colleagues across academic and professional services teams. With strong leadership skills, you’ll manage staff and cross‑college project groups, ensuring seamless event delivery and outstanding audience experiences.
What you will be doing
- Leading the planning and delivery of major public events and college celebrations.
- Providing operational leadership for all events and engagement activity.
- Managing the events budget and ensuring value for money.
- Using data and audience insight to drive strategy and measure impact.
- Overseeing multi‑channel communications and event promotion.
- Writing and editing high‑quality content for digital and print platforms.
- Maintaining accurate and engaging event information across college websites.
- Building strong relationships with academic teams, partners and senior leaders.
- Representing the Marketing team at internal and external meetings.
- Supporting wider marketing, communications and recruitment activity.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- An experienced events and marketing professional with at least three years’ experience.
- Skilled in delivering large‑scale events and managing resources effectively.
- A confident communicator with excellent writing skills and a flair for engaging content.
- Comfortable using online tools including CMS platforms, social media and email marketing systems.
- A collaborative team player, but equally confident working independently.
- Creative, strategic, resilient and ready to bring fresh ideas.
- Committed to safeguarding and the values of an inclusive education environment.
