We are seeking PRN Registered Nurses to join our Nurse Pool, providing flexible coverage across our Birmingham locations. This role is ideal for experienced RNs who thrive in a surgical setting and value teamwork, adaptability, and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Assess patient conditions and apply clinical judgment to adapt to changing needs in real time.
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including administration of local and IV sedation per physician orders.
- Monitor and evaluate patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively in accordance with facility protocols.
- Promote patient safety, comfort, and overall well-being throughout the surgical experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize computer systems for clinical and administrative tasks.
- Uphold strict patient confidentiality and compliance with all privacy standards.
- Provide support across clinical areas and assist other departments as needed.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
- Critical Care, PACU, ER, or Cardiac experience preferred.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Strong communication skills and a professional, patient‑focused demeanor.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a surgical environment.
- Flexible and willing to float between Birmingham‑area practices as needed.
- Willingness to assist with front office or administrative tasks when required.
