Norven Group is the institutional credentialling and governance leadership institute for the regulated AI economy. Alongside Norven, a sister technology platform β currently in stealth β is building the compliance and oversight infrastructure for AI agents and autonomous robots operating in regulated markets: financial services, healthcare, defence, and the public sector. The group is pre-raise, bootstrapped through a services-first revenue model, and preparing for institutional capital within the next 12 months. Primary focus: UK and EU, followed by the US.
The role
We are seeking one fractional Venture Partner β currently active at, or recently exited from, a Tier 1 venture firm (Sequoia, Benchmark, Andreessen Horowitz, Index, Accel, Greylock, Founders Fund, or peer) β to challenge and sharpen our approach to institutional capital before formal investor conversations open. This is not fundraising consultancy. It is a strategic advisory seat for one person whose pattern-recognition has been earned inside partnership meetings and investment committee discussions.
Responsibilities
- Pressure-test the investment narrative, round structure, and investor mapping
- Review pitch materials with an IC-level eye
- Anticipate the objections that quietly kill rounds before founders see them
- Provide directional input on positioning, traction milestones, and timing
- Act as a confidential sparring partner on the decisions that matter most
What we're looking for
- Current or recent Partner, Principal, or equivalent at a Tier 1 venture firm
- Direct seed-to-Series A experience in deep-tech, infrastructure, or regulated markets
- Comfort challenging founder assumptions with candour
- Discretion β this is a confidential engagement
- UK or US based; fully remote
Compensation
Fractional, equity-led. No salary pre-raise. Meaningful advisory equity through a clean FAST-style agreement, with a cash component restructured at Series A. Where a candidate is also open to a personal investment or sponsoring a strategic introduction within their fund, that conversation is welcome and treated separately. Engagement scope open to expansion if mutual fit develops. Expected commitment: approximately 4β6 hours per month.
How to apply
Apply through LinkedIn. First conversation is founder-to-advisor; the stealth technology platform and detailed materials are disclosed only post-NDA where there is mutual interest.
