PRINCIPLE SCOPE & PURPOSE OF JOB
Reporting to the Head of Brands, this role ensures products and supply chains meet regulatory requirements across the UK, EU, and US, while supporting brand, marketing, and sales teams with clear, accurate sustainability information. This is a hands‑on role spanning supply chain compliance, regulatory oversight, and cross‑departmental communication, with the opportunity to establish and scale a dedicated compliance team.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement Norty’s sustainability and compliance framework.
  • Monitor and interpret legislation across UK, EU, and US markets.
  • Ensure product compliance (labelling, materials, documentation) across all territories.
  • Lead supply chain mapping across China, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, improving visibility and traceability.
  • Lead the transition of products to preferred materials for all brand portfolios.
  • Rolling out and monitoring our Digital Product Passport requirements and related data structures.
  • Work with suppliers on ethical, environmental, and traceability standards.
  • Support audits, certifications, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Translate sustainability and compliance data into clear messaging for marketing and sales teams.
  • Provide brand-specific sustainability guidance aligned to positioning and customer base.
  • Equip sales teams with accurate, credible sustainability narratives.
  • Track and report sustainability metrics and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Establish and develop Norty’s compliance capability, including processes, tools, team requirements.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3–6+ years’ experience in sustainability, compliance, or sourcing (apparel or consumer goods).
  • Strong understanding of global supply chains (especially Asia).
  • Knowledge of UK, EU, and US regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with supply chain mapping, traceability, or product‑level data management.
  • Familiarity with Digital Product Passports or upcoming EU sustainability legislation (preferred).
  • Experience working with suppliers, audits, and certifications.
  • Ability to translate technical detail into clear, usable information.
  • Experience setting up processes or building capability within a growing function is a plus.
  • Strong cross‑functional communication skills.
