Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Working out of our prestigious GWR Kia dealership, we have a fantastic opportunity available for a Dealership Accountant to join our business, who will report directly to the Finance Director.

Main Purpose of Role

Responsibility for the timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts for specific dealerships as well as maintaining balance sheet integrity through regular review and investigation. Working to support the relevant Head of Business (HoB) through the creation and interpretation of business information to assist with the decision-making process.

Main Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts in line with Group reporting deadlines.
  • Manage Finance Assistants responsible for Accounts Payables and Receivables at dealership.
  • Manage accrual and prepayment schedules for individual dealership.
  • Prepare Used Stock Provisions, working with local Sales managers to ensure they are accurately recorded and in line with Group policy.
  • Oversee New and Used Stock Reconciliations on a monthly basis including managing the stock verification process.
  • Reconcile company parts stock check on a bi-annual basis and ensure monthly/quarterly provisions are in line with Group policy.
  • Ensure Manufacturer Funding statements fully reconciled monthly.
  • Monitor, reconcile and chase manufacturer bonuses, working with HoB to ensure accuracy, reconciling payments regularly.
  • Support HoB with relevant business analysis to enhance business decision making.
  • Accurately create and submit manufacturer composite schedules in line with submission deadlines.
  • Reconcile and resolve queries relating to all Balance Sheet accounts for the dealership.
  • Responsibility for the production of annual budgets, working with the HoB to prepare detailed working schedules for consolidation.
  • Support on the production of in-year forecasts as required by the business.
  • Provide support with all audit visits including internal and external work preparation.
